I had a great time at the camping Night the camping in Wadi Rum. Mohammed was a great host and was eager that I have a good experience in volunteering and in my visit. I painted two murals at Mohammed's the camping. He was very appreciative of my work and offered great encouragement and feedback for changes. He was clear about what he expected from his volunteers in the work and attitude. I was there during low season so I spent a lot of time by myself. the camping has no wifi either. I enjoyed this! Very peaceful and very quiet. I hope to return:-)

My experience was quite different from what I first expected as we only had 1 night with tourists in the camping during my 10-days of volunteering. Moreover, Mohammed went on a trip to Amman leaving my first 6 days with no agreed functions at that moment. Because of this, my tasks changed. They consisted on helping with building another the camping where we used to spent like 6-8 hours each day with no bathroom, poor lunch (exactly the same each day) and no wifi/signal. One day I could go on tour with tourists to take amazing photos. Overall, it was cool as I could see the desert and meet locals!!

Mohammed is such a nice person! He's so kind and I learned a lot about the camping life. Working in the camping was the best thing I did in Jordan! Wadi Rum is so special and amazing. And the team is so friendly! Thanks for everything, I hope to come back!

I had a great time at the camping! I went to paint murals & they gave me a lot of freedom to paint in my own style and my own hours. I got to join in on tours as promised, and always had a private tent except for 1 night when the camping was fully booked. Meals are the same everyday, breakfast and dinner were buffet style and the lunch was just something small since everyone is out on tours during the day. The surrounding desert is a serene and beautiful place I got to explore a lot. I felt safe & comfortable as a solo female traveler at their the camping! Would love to return one day!
