The Experience

We are looking for volunteers that would like to support and motivate our English class by first and foremost just being present, answering questions and playing fun word games. We encourage you to join our two daily classes (morning + afternoon) where you will most often just be there for the last 30 min (the fun part), but it is not mandatory. You can make your own schedule every day according to your liking and join other group activities too!

From the moment I arrived at Belopa, I felt welcomed and like I was at home. Mr. Y and Mrs. Indha are always there to make sure you have everything you need! They are lovely! All the teachers are amazing and they make you feel special too. the school project is wonderful and I encourage people to go. I loved the culture and learned a lot of things. Something has changed inside me since I was there and all for the better. The kids are also very grateful and fun. I thank you all so much for these wonderful days I spent there. I love you all! :)

My stay at the school Belopa felt like I was a part of the family, it felt like home. Mr. Y and Ms. Indah are super friendly, welcoming, and willing to make you feel comfortable while you are here. I experienced a lot of local culture, seen lots of beautiful nature landscapes, found a lot of new friends and in general really enjoyed my experience here! So if you think about applying, just do it, you won't regret it👍

I had such a great time staying at the school House and learning about the Indonesian culture and of course getting g in touch with the students and helping them to learn English. I felt really welcomed by the hosts and I had a really great time with them. I really hope they will stay successful in the future with the school project.

The host is very welcoming and flexible, I had a great time with everyone at the school and I'm happy that I had the chance to be part of this project with these amazing people. They are doing a great job for the kids of the city to learn english and practice their speaking with volunteers. I had a lot of free time and they brang me to visit around. Here, I was able to truly live around local people and learn about the culture and the language. I will miss them and I'm greatful for this experience!

I had such an amazing time in Sulawesi, and volunteering for the school. The hosts and entire community of teachers immediately welcomed me and made me feel apart of the school family! These people are truly amazing and you can learn so much from them, and the students! Not only did I get to experience Belopa, but the hosts really made sure to help me get the most out of my experience in Sulawesi. I would highly recommend this experience!
