Description
Fee includes all activities - mezcal masterclasses - tastings in the distilleries - barbacoa party when covering the oven - extra helpers for the toughest duties - tours to other mezcal making regions within the state - certificate of completion - bottle of mezcal for your participation - LOTS of knowledge!!

The Experience
Join a 3-week immersive mezcal experience in non-touristy Oaxaca (March 9-31). For $300 USD, you'll participate in every step of mezcal production: agave harvest, fermentation, distillation, and more! Enjoy activities like mezcal masterclasses, tastings, and tours to other distilleries. Includes shared accommodation, meals with the locals, transportation, certificate and some mezcal of your own!! Private rooms available. Price varies.

Surely one of the best experiences I have ever had and an admirable project led by Jorge! I can only recommend the organization, the work on the farm can be intense but you know why you do it! If you want to be close to the locals and know Mexico, go for it! A volunteering that makes sense! The city of Miahuatlan is not big but it has everything you need for a great stay! You can also easily travel during your free days. Thanks again, I hope to come back one day!

I absolutely loved my stay at the organization. The work is very diverse, you get to see, do and learn a lot of different things in the community and regarding the organization farming. It was a very authentic, local and profound experience for me. The farming is definitely hard and sometimes monotonous/draining, but Jorge is an amazing host and manages to make everyone feel heard and welcome and find solutions together. He also took us to meet lots of interesting and inspiring people and I am very grateful for this opportunity. Thank you so much for everything and all the best for the future!

I had an absolutely amazing time volunteering at the agave farm in this beautiful rural community. The setting during farm days is peaceful, surrounded by stunning landscapes, and it's a fantastic place to truly connect with nature and local culture. The work was both fulfilling and educational. I learned so much about the agave cultivation process, from planting to harvesting, and I had the chance to try my hand at different tasks. The team was incredibly welcoming, and I felt like part of the family from day one. They were always patient, happy to share their knowledge. Thank you Jorge!!

This was an amazing experience and my first Worldpackers! I would highly recommend this opportunity, it's definitely hard work but also super rewarding. It's a great way to learn about the organization ( the amount i learnt in 3 weeks is insane!) and Spanish as the area is really non-touristy I found the work to be really well rounded with opportunity's to do farm and social work each week. The 3 days weekends are also amazing as you get to see the surrounding areas if you wish. The whole experience felt really authentic and was amazing from start to finish! Thank you Jorge :)
