6am <\/strong>It\u2019s early morning in Cronulla<\/a> and there\u2019s already a procession of people walking along the Esplanade. It\u2019s the thing to do. To really fit in, place a beach towel over one shoulder and stride south along the Esplanade with purpose, then enjoy an early morning dip in one of the sparkling sea pools. The cafe has been in existence for 21 years and is the place to be when you\u2019re due for a brew.<\/p>\n 9am<\/strong> Breakfast is clearly considered the most important meal of the day in Cronulla. Walk north down dinky Surf Lane in front of Grind to find Blackwood<\/a>, the Luchetti Krelle-designed eatery that exudes elegance. Walk along Jibbon Beach to see Aboriginal rock art and learn the story of the Deeban and Dharawal peoples, the Traditional Owners of the Land. Afterwards, browse vintage finds at JEAN general store<\/a>, artfully arranged by award-winning interior designer Kelly Ross, then fossick for candles and linen at Little French Heart<\/a>.<\/p>\n Drop some cash at Little French Heart.<\/p><\/div>\n 12.30pm <\/strong>Enjoy lunch at Driftwood Cafe<\/a>, which is close to Australia\u2019s oldest national park<\/a>. It\u2019s one of the best things to do in the Shire<\/a>.<\/p>\n Learn to surf on the perfect beginner waves.<\/p><\/div>\n 8am<\/strong> Wriggle out of your wettie and head west to the hidden Shire cafe Jack Gray<\/a>, named in honour of the neighbouring Royal National Park\u2019s first ranger, to fuel up on specialty coffee and Sonoma croissants.<\/p>\n 9am <\/strong>Visit the Shire Farmers\u2019 Market<\/a> to purchase a few foodie souvenirs from the weekly market, held on Saturdays.<\/p>\n Stock up at Sutherland Shire Farmers Market.<\/p><\/div>\n 10 am<\/strong> Hit The Boatshed Woronora<\/a> at high tide to hire a canoe or kayak and explore the far reaches of the Woronora River \u2013 you\u2019ll likely see sea eagles circling, as well as some dramatic rock formations. Next, linger a bit longer over coffee and cake at the Boatshed\u2019s cafe.<\/p>\n Noon <\/strong>Head to Hazelhurst Arts Centre<\/a> to see its latest exhibition, followed by lunch at the flower-filled Hazelhurst Cafe.<\/p>\n Catch a performance at The Pavillion.<\/p><\/div>\n 2pm<\/strong> Check out a matinee performance at The Pavilion<\/a>, the Sutherland Shire\u2019s swanky new performing arts centre.<\/p>\n 5pm <\/strong>Head back to Cronulla to and kick up your heels over cocktails at Cony\u2019s<\/a>, a fun and feminine space with South American accents.<\/p>\n 7pm <\/strong>Dinner at the family-run Queen Margherita of Savoy<\/a> is raucous and fun. Try the killer cocktails and authentic Neopolitan-style pizzas.<\/p>\n 9pm <\/strong>Slink down the stairs to see a gig at Brass Monkey<\/a> before ducking into dive bar The Blind Bear<\/a> for a digestivo.<\/p>\n Book in at Queen Margherita of Savoy for pizza and cocktails.<\/p><\/div>\n 8am<\/strong> Call into the corner cafe HAM<\/a> (named after brothers Harry and Mario) on any given day and you\u2019ll find it mobbed with locals; tuck into a hearty breakfast, knock back a latte and pick up some panini to go. The Nuns\u2019 Pool<\/a> is another popular local spot.<\/p>\n 10am<\/strong> Hire an e-bike from Chain Reaction Bicycle Company<\/a> and motor out to Cape Solander, one of the best places to spot whales in Sydney between May and October.<\/p>\n Noon <\/strong>Ride your e-bike around the Kurnell peninsula to Cook at Kurnell<\/a>, one of the Sutherland Shire\u2019s hidden gems. Park yourself under an umbrella to enjoy burgers and boho vibes.<\/p>\n Chow down on good food and vibes in Cook At Kurnell.<\/p><\/div>\n 3pm <\/strong>You\u2019ve earned that thirst, and Sundays are fun days in the Shire. Design your own ale trail and pinball between Sunday Road Brewing Co<\/a>, Hairyman Brewery<\/a> and Shark Island Brewing Company<\/a>.<\/p>\n 5pm<\/strong> Let the good times roll at Next Door<\/a>, which is named for the fact it\u2019s adjacent to sister venue Sealevel<\/a>.
